The Belgian Adventure

It was Mum's 70th birthday and we were off to Brussels to visit nick, Ros and the kids. Sue stayed at home with the new pup.
This is short film about our weekend.

Totem Pole

Sue and I took the dogs to Virginia Water in Surrey, it was Beaker's first look and a real lake.
I got some video and photos of the Totem Pole. It's been there since 1952 and looks like it could do with a lick of paint.
I wonder if it will be spruced up for the Queen's Diamond jubilee in 2012?

Steve Jobs 1955-2011

Until two years ago I always used a Windows PC.
Then I switched to a Mac.
Since then I have also owned an iPod, two iPhones and an iPad. Apple products are revolutionary and they work beautifully... my Mac, iPhone and iPad have never let me down.
Steve Jobs was more than just another CEO of a global company.
He was an innovator who changed the world and changed the way I view and use computers and the internet, forever.
Rest in peace Steve.

Puppy Prison...

Beaker is sent to Puppy Prison for a period of calming down. He was charged with unauthorised jumping on the sofa, persistent big toe biting and general over excitement.

He was eventually let off with a warning :-)

Resistance is futile...

This video was shot down in Taunton on the day we collected Beaker and whisked him away to his new life... He wriggled a bit when his new collar was fitted... but resistance was futile!

The Beakster...

Meet Beaker (again)... All eight pups were up and about when we visited... they particularly enjoyed pulling my shoe laces out of my shoes!
Two weeks to go until Beaker comes to his new home.

A303... B&B

I booked this lovely B&B for our overnight stop in Somerset... it was our second time going down to meet Beaker our new puppy.

Heather and Barry have made a lovely place to stay... great location, friendly welcome, nice room and a tasty full English in the morning.

Take a look at them here

They are also on Trip Advisor

Mad Dogs and Englishmen...

This is short video I shot at Ascot Racecourse while taking Toby for a walk. It is essentially a series of short clips that I took using my iPhone 4 and an app called iSupr8.
I was trying to get an old cine film effect.

Who needs sunblock?
Here is the top fashion tip for this summer.

Chris in HD

My new Sanyo Xacti CG20 camcorder has arrived... here is the first test footage... Nice!

Who'd be a goalie?

I'm a big hockey fan and follower of the Bracknell Bees who play in the English Premier Ice Hockey League. My favourite players are always the goalies.
This shot was taken at a Bees homes game during the 2009/2010 season... the goalie is Stephen Wall of the Peterborough Phantoms and a former Bee.
I am still having difficulty getting some really good action shots at hockey games... but I'll keep trying!

Big Bird

This is a Sandhill Crane... the photos were taken in Florida.
The locals call them Whooping Cranes... they are tame and wander the streets seeking chunks of bread from tourists!
I was pleased with the way these shots came out. They were taken with my current camera, a Panasonic Lumix FZ38.

Snow Dog

This is Toby the terrible... sorry Terrier.
I don't think he had ever seen snow before this day on 2010.

Rings and Things...

This is a photo that I took at work. I had been to a photography club and was set the task of getting a shot under the subject of "Rings and things"... I couldn't resist the combination of the cop with the donuts!
The subject is a friend and colleague of mine.

Valetta

Ok, I'll start with one of my favourite photos. This is the view of Valetta, the capital of Malta, as seen from the balcony of our hotel room. We stayed at the Fortina Spa Resort in April 2009. The hotel is in Sliema, just across the creek from the city and the view was wonderful. It was our first visit to Malta and I hope it will not be the last... a lively place, with friendly people and lots of history.
The photo was taken with my old Panasonic Lumix TZ3.
