City in the Sand

Our latest trip to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates... This is our 5th visit to the city in the sand... perhaps our last for a while.

Goodbye London 2012... See you in Rio 2016!

What a great day!

Up at 5.30am and over to Thurrock to catch the park and ride bus to the Olympic Park.
Up to the top of Anish Kapoor's Orbit and then tickets for the Men's Water Polo, Bronze and Gold Medal matches...
Serbia edged out Montenegro to take the Bronze, followed by Italy versus Croatia. The Croatians taking the Gold.
Then on to the closing ceremony and the extinguishing of the Olympic Cauldron.
Great performances from Elbow (my favourite), Brian May, The Spice Girls, Ray Davies, George Michael, Madness, The Who, Beady Eye, Muse and the London Philharmonic Orchestra... we even had a couple of performances from beyond the grave!
An unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience... I'm so proud to be British :-)

We went into town for a coffee and found this going on... All I had was my phone to shoot this very short video.

Let's Go Dutch...

Our ten day trip to The Netherlands. Some of it you might expect... Windmills, cheese and bicycles. But I will remember it for it's friendly, laid back people.

18 Months

This video took me four days to edit. Almost all of the photos needed to be resized to fit the screen and I tried to fit the speed of the the slideshow to the tempo of the music.
